The estate is located in the Lorch commune in the German wine-growing region Rheingau
, A wine bar in the middle of the village is connected. The company has been run by the brothers Gundolf and Gilbert Laquai since 1990. Since then, the area under vines has been expanded from three hectares to today's size. This also required a spatial expansion. In the company buildings in the Wispertal near Lorch there are now the wine press station, the vinification, the bottling and the sparkling wine cellar.
Since 2008, fallow vineyards have been recultivated for over 40 years (12 hectares until 2014). They are created in cross terraces because this is the biodiversity
(Biodiversity) in flora and fauna that promotes water storage

prevented. The vineyards now cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers of Bodental-Steinberg, chapel hill

The hand-picked grapes are carefully processed. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in steel tanks or wooden barrels. Premium wines are as First crop
classified wines of the best locations. The Pinot Noir vintage 2012 was one of only two first crops in the Rheingau from this variety. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and brandies (pomace, yeast) are also produced in-house.
