The estate is located in the municipality of Bruttig-Fankel (Burg Cochem area) in the German wine-growing region Moselle
, The traditional family has been wine-growing here since 1625. The vineyards cover almost three hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Götterlay, Pfarrgarten and Rathausberg (Bruttig), Herrenberg (Valwig) and Rosenberg (Fankel). They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (85%), Müller-Thurgau and Elbling. Some of these are in the terraced steep slopes ungrafted
grown. There is consequently a natural, environmentally friendly management. The wines are made exclusively with yeasts from the vineyard fermented spontaneously
and in steel tanks or 1,000 liters fuder barrels
mostly dry and delicately developed. In weather-appropriate years, there are also sweet sweets Trockenbeerenauslese
, Bottle-fermented sparkling wines, brandies (pomace, yeast, wine), liqueurs, wine vinegars and grape juice are also produced. Around 35,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
