2009 Brauneberg Juffer-Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese trocken, Mosel, Germany

A little muted, clearly vegetal and somewhat earthy nose of pome fruit, some stone fruit and dried citrus fruits with a little butter and caramel as well as herbs and mineral nuances. Clear, sweet and juicy fruit with slightly waxy tones, herbal notes on the palate, earthy minerality, lively, fine acidity, light tannin, good substance and persistence, slightly muted, candy notes and a hint of butter, good, relatively sweet finish. Has clearly won and still seems rather young, remains only actually too sweet for a nominally dry wine.
