2001 Oestrich Lenchen Riesling Kabinett, Rheingau, Germany

Quite intense aromas of peaches and apples, with delicate spice and notes of herbs and minerals. Crystal clear, elegantly juicy fruit with crisp, firm acidity, thus appears much less sweet than it really is, firm mineral structure, gripping and very persistent on the palate, still very young, long finish. Will only reach its peak form from 2003 onwards.
