2011 Riesling trocken "Schlehdorn", Rheingau, Germany

Tart, clearly planty, also floral and earthy to mineral nose with rather reserved yellow-fruity aromas, clearly mushrooms, a little saffron and nutty, slightly buttery as well as floral traces. Very firm, very dry, ripe yellow fruit, also again yellow spice, noticeable touch of ripe tannin, nutty and a touch of buttery aromas, fine acidity, clear minerality, persistent, tobacco traces, some warmth, good depth, very good, firm, complex, tart, nutty and extremely mineral finish, again with nutty aromas

Editor note: Translate to English Verschlossen wirkender, kühler, dabei extrem tiefer und sehr fester, konzentrierter, vielschichtiger, tabakig-würziger Duft nach reifen, teils angetrockneten gelben Früchten mit vegetabilen Aromen und viel erdiger und salziger Mineralik. Auch im Mund völlig verschlossen, dicht, konzentriert und knochentrocken, ruhige, reife Frucht mit tabakigen und altholzig wirkenden Aromen, sehr feine, recht präsente Säure, kompakter Bau, tief, komplex und nachhaltig am Gaumen, schmelzig, kraftvoll, dabei aber wieder auffallend kühl, enorme, fast schmerzhafte, salzige, dazu erdige und steinige Mineralik, tabakige Aromen im Hintergrund, noch vollkommen unnahbar, herber, vielschichtiger Abgang, der einen sehr, sehr lange beschäftigt. Muss lange reifen.
