2006 Süd-Steiermark Ried Kranachberg Sauvignon Blanc trocken Kranachberg Reserve, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Sweetish nose, preserved melon and pears, some dried herbs and spices, light peppery notes, cucumbers marinated in mustard seed, mineral notes, spicy sugar candy, some oak. Very full-bodied and juicy on the palate, peppery notes and some mustard seed, very elegant acidity, integrated oak, herbs and spices, very creamy, noticeable alcohol, has some depth and good persistence, slightly alcoholic on an otherwise good finish. Needs time to develop.
