2008 Süd-Steiermark Ried Kranachberg Sauvignon Blanc trocken Reserve, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Candied nuts, melon and preserved pears on the nose, sweetish herbaceous notes, vegetal notes, some mango and pepper, spicy oak. Juicy on the palate, quite lively fruit, prominent spica oak, more ripe yellow melons and mango, herbaceous traces, tart peppery notes, restrained acidity, very slightly sandy tannins, huge body, good persistence and has some depth, fairly prominent oak again on an otherwise very good finish.
