The estate is located in the municipality of Herxheim am Berg (Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route area) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The ancestors of the maternal family came here from Tyrol as wooden beetles in 1655 after the end of the Thirty Years' War. Today the company is managed by the 12th generation of Gerd and Sigrun Petri. The two sons Maximilian (California) and Philipp (Australia) did an internship overseas. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in individual locations Heaven and honey bag (Herxheim) as well pig's stomach (Kallstadt).
