The estate is located in the municipality Herxheim am Berg (area Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The ancestors of the maternal family came here from the Tyrol in 1655 after the end of the Thirty Years' War as Holzküfer. Today, the company is run in the 12th generation by Gerd and Sigrun Petri. The two sons Maximilian (California) and Philipp (Australia) completed an internship overseas. The vineyards cover 15 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Heaven and honey sack (Herxheim) as well pig's stomach (Kallstadt). They are the white varieties Riesling (40%), Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sylvaner, Gewürztraminer and Scheurebe, and planted with the red varieties Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Cabernet Cubin, Merlot and Frühburgunder.

The management is carried out according to the guidelines of controlled environmentally friendly viticulture. On the use of insecticides and herbicides is waived.
