The "winery Pfeffingen - Fuhrmann Eymael" in the town of Bad Dürkheim-Pfeffingen is located in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The family Schnell has been operating viticulture in the Palatinate since the middle of the 17th century. In 1931 the Pfeffinger estate was acquired by Valentin Schnell. His son-in-law, Karl Fuhrmann, took over the business in 1952 and, as a consequence, completely converted the previously mixed agricultural business to viticulture. His daughter Doris Eymael, one of the few women at the head of a German winery, shares since 2002 with her son Jan the management of the winery. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the Ungsteiner Lagen Herrenberg and Weilberg, They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (50%), Scheurebe, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Silvaner, Auxerrois and Chardonnay, and the red varieties Pinot Noir and Cabernet Dorsa. A specialty of the house are dry to noble sweet wines from the Scheurebe. About one third of the production goes into export. The winery is a member of VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
