2004 Mittelburgenland Merlot trocken Joe´s Playground, Burgenland, Austria

Black berries and plums on the nose, quite prominent roasted and smoky notes, cedar wood. Prominent oak again on the palate, smoky and roasted notes, fruit partly hidden, lots of astringent tannins, smoked meat, not particularly deep, attractive finish.
