2004 Mittelburgenland Phaëthon, Burgenland, Austria

Translate to English Gereifter, holzwürziger Duft nach schwarzen und ein wenig roten Beeren mit nussigen Aromen, etwas Teer und speckigen Nuancen. Auch im Mund gereift, speckig udn betont holzig, kandierte Nüsse und Bitterschokolade, etwas trocknendes Holztannin, milchige Noten, leicht erdig, nicht allzu tief, recht guter, aber holziger Abgang.

Editor note: Ripe red and black berries on the nose, mineral and herbaceous notes, smoky and roasted notes. Fairly cool style, clear fruit with dark roasted notes, more light herbaceous notes, dark chocolate on the palate, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, quite juicy, good finish.
