Smoky, earthy nose, black berries, bay leaf and juniper, light animal and meaty traces, spicy and earthy traces. Clear, tart, juicy, fairly cool fruit on the palate, smoky, nutty oak, hint of bacon, cocoa and peppery traces, dried herbs, touch of juniper again, firm tannins, still slightly astringent, good persistence, some bite, good to very good tart finish.
