2015 Carnuntum St. Laurent trocken Alte Reben, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Clean, firm, quite deep and polished aroma of partly preserved cherries and mainly dark berries with fine spicy and dried floral aromas, a little bit of herbs and mineral notes. Tight, clear and juicy in the mouth, noble fruit with fresh, somewhat toasty and candied nutty wood spice, very fine, youthful tannin, delicate acid bite, persistent and very smooth on the palate, almost silky texture, yet also has grip, in the background salty minerality, herbal nuances, a touch of pepper, very good, tight, juicy and spicy finish. Has class.
