Editor note: Floral and herbaceous notes on the nose, fairly light yellow fruit aromas, but also has a hint of black berries, light mineral notes in the background. Ripe, delicately sweet fruit on the palate, peppery spice, prominent mineral aromas, elegant acidity, light tannic grip, full body, fairly persistent, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, light floral notes, hint of black berries, good to very good, alcoholic finish.
Best to drink: To 2022+

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three main triangle areas, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
