2015 Bingen Scharlachberg Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Rheinhessen, Germany

Somewhat dried-herbal citrus-stone fruit scent with black berry nuances and a hint of tobacco. Firmly woven, tart fruit, slightly smoky, dried-vegetable and nutty tones, fine, lively acidity, grip of ripe tannin, persistent and really dense on the palate, clear, stony minerality, some depth, very good, firm, dry and grippy finish with tart spice. In excellent shape.

Editor note: Cool nose, still closed, light vegetal notes, tart yellow fruit, earthy and mineral notes, kohlrabi and floral traces. Clear, straightforward, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, light yeasty and nutty notes, slightly spicy vegetal notes, elegant, lively acidity, light tannic touch, good persistence, earthy and mineral notes in the background, still very slightly muted, very good finish.
