2017 Zweigelt Reserve trocken Burg, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Light peppery notes on the nose, hint of bacon, tarry notes, black berrie and cherries, hint of smoky oak, some juniper and dried herbs. Ripe, firm, partly preserved juicy fruit on the palate, smoky, very spicy oak, pepper, cardamom and cloves, fairly prominent ripe tannins, full body, good substance and persistence, slightly noticeable warm alcohol,, salty traces in the background, touch of dried flowers, fairlycomplex, some depth, slightly jammy fruit and more prominent spice on the very good finish.
