The estate is located in the commune of Fellbach (Renstal-Stuttgart area) in the German wine-growing region Wuerttemberg, The family has a 500-year tradition of viticulture. Rainer Schnaitmann produced under his own label in 1997 as the first year. The vineyards cover almost 12 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Lämmler and Goldberg (Fellbach), Götzenberg (Uhlbach), as well as in the communities of Endersbach, Schnait, Stetten, Strümpfelbach and Untertürkheim. They are planted with the red varieties Trollinger, Pinot Noir, Black Riesling, Lemberger, Dornfelder, Velvet Red, Early Burgundy, Muscat Trollinger, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah, as well as the white varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Rivaner and Sauvignon Blanc. Quality criteria in the vineyard are, for example, close planting distances, low yields, leaf wall design as well as minimal use of pesticides and fertilization. After a selective harvest of ripe grapes in the best possible way in several passes and gentle pressing, the white wines are fermented in stainless steel and to a small extent in barrels. Riesling is increasingly trusted in its own yeast flora. The wines are bottled after a yeast storage period of 3 to 12 months. After the traditional mash fermentation with a long shelf life and biological acid degradation, the red wines of the two-star and three-star class mature for 8 to 10 months, the "Simonroth wines" for 12 to 18 months in barriques with a volume of mostly 300 liters. If possible, the filling takes place without filtration. Fine brandies (yeast, pomace, fruit) and bottle-fermented sparkling wines are also produced. The winery is a member of VDP (Association of German quality wine estates).
