2013 Forst Jesuitengarten Riesling Grosses Gewächs trocken, Pfalz, Germany

Editor note: Very firm, also deep aroma of ripe stone and pome fruit with a hint of dark berries, fine vegetal and delicately yeasty tones, a hint of nuts and mineral hints. Quite firm in the mouth, compact, juicy fruit with tart vegetal to herbal aromas, a hint of tobacco and clear, earthy minerality, lasting on the palate, restrained power, rather cool style, very fine, distinctly grippy tannin and yeasty tones, some mussel shells, deceptively accessible, but still far too young, massive and fine at the same time, grabs hold in the very good to long finish
