2000 Winningen Röttgen Riesling Beerenauslese, Mosel, Germany

An enticing aroma of caramel, Turkish honey, dried and baked apricots and candied citrus fruits, with just a very slight oxidative note. Concentrated sweet and creamy-spicy fruit, tremendous mouthfeel, lively and racy acidity, honey and spice as well as light toasty notes on the palate, persistent aroma of dried fruits, still untamed and totally unready for drinking, tremendous length. Needs at least 5, possibly 10 years to develop and integrate all the components, and that is a careful estimate.
