2001 Winningen Uhlen Riesling Auslese Versteigerungswein, Mosel, Germany

Very deep and densely woven aroma of apples, peaches, apricots and some blackcurrant, with a subdued mineral note in the background. Tremendous concentration, creamy, incredibly juicy fruit, tremendous sweetness and a delicate acidity, extremely full-bodied and dense on the palate, very persistent, impressive power- Currently still completely undeveloped and almost monolithic in stature. Very long finish with mineral notes. Will need many years to mature.
