2002 Winningen Röttgen Riesling Beerenauslese, Mosel, Germany

Strong mineral notes on nose of candied apricots and citrus fruit, some honey and a hint of roasted nuts. Very pure, concentrated, very sweet fruit, firmly woven and juicy, elegant, lively acidity, strong mineral notes on the palate, as yet undeveloped, great persistence on the palate, deep and very long finish. Needs time.
