2015 Silvaner Landwein trocken Réserve, Rhine/Rhein, Germany

Slightly nutty pome fruit aroma with fine asparagus-vegetable flavours, some root vegetables, hints of stone fruit, delicate barrel tones and a certain minerality in the background. Ripe, developed, quite juicy, also melting fruit, nutty tones, some caramel and smoke, very fine acidity, grip of crumbly tannin, a little smoky and woody-spicy, has power even with moderate alcohol, buttery hints, some minerality, a hint of flintstone, very good finish with a hint of cabbage. Mature, but not old.

Editor note: Very slightly open nose, cool, deep, complex and firm, peppery, herbaceous and vegetal notes, prominent mineral notes, pomaceous fruit, some almonds, light smoky and toasted aromas, bay leaf, green bacon and coriander. Ripe, juicy, slightly creamy bone dry fruit on the palate, yeasty, light nutty oak, light spice and prominent herbaceous notes, very elegant acidity, integrated tannins, ful body, good substance, not really heavy, hint of tobacco in the background, buttery traces, light earthy and mineral notes, peppery traces, still largely undeveloped, complex, cardamom, caraway seed and prominent salty notes, very good, long, juicy, spicy finish, Outstanding wine, has its own character.
