The estate is located in the community Freinsheim (area Mittelhaardt-German Wine Route) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The foundation stone for today's winery was laid by the parents with their fruit and wine business, well into the 1990s. The first wines under their own label were marketed in 1993. With the year 2001, Junior Steffen Rings joined the company and completed the conversion to exclusively viticulture. After his training in the Rheinhessen winery Wagner-Stempel Andreas Rings has also returned and has run the winery together with his brother since 2008. The vineyards cover 31 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers pig's stomach (Kallstadt), Black Cross (Freinsheim) and Weilberg (Ungstein).
The focus is on Riesling and Pinot Noir. Other white varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, other reds Portugieser, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. It is environmentally friendly viticulture after ecological Guidelines practiced. Quality criteria are strict yield reduction already on the vine, rigorous selection at harvest and late hand picking. The wines are marketed in the lines Gutsweine, local wines, wines from first or large locations as well as a Réserve line and Rotweincuvées the "The Cross" series. The winery is a member of VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter). Every year around 180,000 bottles of wine are produced.
