2018 Assmannshausen Frankenthal Spätburgunder trocken "Zenit", Rheingau, Germany

Astringent, somewhat dried vegetable, nutty and earthy scent of predominantly red berries and a little cherry with floral and spicy woody nuances and a hint of foliage. Ripe, juicy fruit with smoky and spicy woody notes, fine sandy, youthful tannin, some bite, peppery and floral notes, persistent, certain strength, salty minerality in the background, still a bit restless, yeasty traces, very good, tart, still slightly drying finish
