The estate is located in the municipality of Wiesenbronn (Steigerwald area) at the foot of the Schwanberg in the German wine-growing region Franconia, A new wine shop was completed in 2007. The company is run by Gerhard Roth in the fifth generation of the family. The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the layers Altenberg (Abtswind), and Geißberg, Heller Berg and Wachhügel (Wiesenbronn). They are half-planted with the white varieties Riesling, Silvaner, Müller-Thurgau, Pinot Blanc, Bacchus, Kerner, Traminer and Scheurebe, as well as the other half with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Blaufränkisch , Portuguese, Black Riesling, Domina and Regent. Already since the year 1974 Organic viticulture in compliance with the guidelines of the organic association Naturland operated. The winery is one of the pioneers.

The vineyards are natural greening with additional targeted sowing from a mixture of legumes, Grasses and herbs. To protect the vine from the real and the false mildew The environmentally friendly technique of removing superfluous leaves and shoots is used. All wines are consistently Gutsabfüllungen. The red wines are subject to the principle of classic mash fermentation and are basically durchgegoren. They mature in large oak barrels and stainless steel, as well as occasionally in barrique. The best qualities are bottled under the name "Heller Berg". The whites are made by the grape-yeasts spontaneous fermented and aged in stainless steel. They are filled mostly dry until late vintage. It also produces sparkling wines, bottle-fermented sparkling wines and spirits (yeast, pomace, wine, fruit). The winery is a member of VDP (Verband deutscher Prädikatsweingüter).
