Editor note: Tart nose, prominent vegetal and light earthy notes, yellow fruit aromas, floral traces, hint of black berries. Clear, elegant, juicy, sweetish fruit on the palate, lively, very elegant acidity, vegetal, herbaceous and floral aromas, good persistence, mineral notes in the background, hint of dark berries, spicy traces, elegant bite, some depth, very good, fairly firm, sweetish, juicy finish.
Best to drink: To 2024+

The German growing area Franconia used to be in the three main triangle areas, Mainviereck and Steigerwald with 23 large layers and 216 individual layers. In November 2011 a new regulation was decided by the members of the Franconian Wine Association. The three old areas will be replaced by 12 much smaller ones. In the medium to long term, these will also replace the 23 large locations. The old areas once played a role in the predominant marketing of Franconian table wine, which they had lost for a long time.
