1999 Bürgstadt Centgrafenberg Weißburgunder Spätlese trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Aromas of ripe apples, melons and green peas, accompanied by slightly spicy, perfectly integrated and very attractive oak. Pure, elegantly juicy fruit, elegant acidity that makes the wine appear lighter than it really is, good structure, straightforward, perfectly judged oak, persistent on the palate, excellent balance, long finish. Although there is lots of power, this wine comes across as rather elegant, not showy, and is thus an ideal accompaniment to food.
