2002 Bürgstadt Centgrafenberg Traminer "R", Franconia/Franken, Germany

Deep aromas of lychee, honey melon, blossoms, minerals, dried spices and some exotic fruit, with perfectly integrated wood. Concentrated and juicy in the mouth, at the same time a bone-dry style, elegant acidity, the oak is far in the background, very powerful body, very supple and with lots of substance, yet in no way heavy or clumsy, very persistent on the palate, deep and complex, mineral notes, perfect balance, an almost never-ending finish. A dream wine that will probably improve even further with some age.
