2016 Klingenberg Spätburgunder trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Touch of smoked bacon on the nose, light herbaceous notes, red and a few black berries, bay leaf, peppery traces, earthy and mineral notes. Very cool, clear, tart fruit on the palate, light nutty, smoky oak, very fine youthful tannins, light bite, bacon and salty notes in the background, firm structure, some depth, still young, very good firm, tart, juicy, smoky finish.
