The wines keep constant high level and are usually the best in their respective category in the area. Weaknesses, there is little, but can occur in difficult vintages. However, this must be balanced in good years with particularly compelling assortments so that an operation can hold the status. In most cases you can blindly buy.

The winery "Salzl Seewinkelhof" is located in the municipality Illmitz in Burgenland wine region Lake Neusiedl (Austria). The tradition-rich Salzl family started to grow wine in 1840. A pension is connected. Since 1985, the family business has been run by Josef Salzl, who concentrated on red wines and began in 1990 with aging in oak barrels. Son Christoph is a graduate of the Business Academy for Viticulture and Agricultural Management and responsible for sales and dCeller work. There are three generations working in the company. In 2009, a new winery, both technically and architecturally exceptional, was put into operation in the middle of the vineyards, indicating the address "Between the vines".

The own vineyards cover 20 hectares in the vineyards Lüss, Martenhof, Römerstein and Sandriegel. From contract growers with a total of 60 hectares of grapes are delivered. 75% of the red varieties Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Blaufränkisch and Syrah and 25% of the white varieties Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, Bouvier and Seedling 88 are processed. Through selective harvesting, only healthy, fully ripe grapes are processed.

The white wines and certain red wines are matured in steel tanks classically. Special red wines mature different long to 24 months in new oak barrels. The large product range includes, among other things, the red wine Neusiedlersee DAC (Zweigelt), the white wine "New Style" (Chardonnay), as well as the two red wine cuvées "Pannoterra" (Zweigelt, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon) and "3-5-8 Premium" (Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon). In weather-appropriate years are also sweet wines like Beerenauslesen and Trockenbeerenauslese vinified. It will also be one Frizzante (Sparkling wine) produced. About one third of the production is exported to 17 countries.
