2016 Syrah Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Nutty, peppery notes on the nose, light spicy notes and some cocoa, black berries and cherries, tobacco, hint of licorice, dried herbs. Ripe, juicy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, toasted, spicy oak, some chocolate, slightly noticeable warm alcohol, creamy, integrated tannins, candied oranges in the background, good persistence, chocolate, coffee, tobacco and cake spice on a very good, fairly juicy finish.
