2017 Grüner Veltliner trocken Figaro, Alte Reben, Burgenland, Austria

Youthful nose, still slightly yeasty, vegetal and light floral notes, light yellow fruit, earthy notes, hint of white pepper and bacon, touch of root vegetables. Ripe, creamy, partly preserved fruit on the palate, prominent vegetal aromas, loads of oak, yeasty notes, slightly sweetish and lemony notes, very creamy, but also has a noticeable acid bite, noticeable warm alcohol, hint of smoked bacon, salty traces, slightly astringent tannins, more citrus fruit, oak and alcohol on a very good finish. Becomes more harmonious with aeration, but remains a slightly rustic style.
