The estate is located in the commune of Beilstein (Württembergisch Unterland area) in the German wine-growing region Wuerttemberg, The name derives from the former won name "Sankt Anna und Ruhl", which is located on the slope of the Fohlenberg directly above the location of today's winery. A chronicle in 1830 called this sun well as "the best Beilsteiner location with particularly advanced timing of the grapes for an excellent wine" . There is an icon of Saint Anna (Mother of Mary) on the new winery. The family business is run by Renate and Hans Wiedenmann, son Marcel is responsible for the cellar. As a recognized training company, the winery has been involved in training young winegrowers since 1989.
