The estate is located in the commune of Burrweiler (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region palatinate in the middle of the nature reserve "Haardtrand - Palatinate Forest" on a foothill of the "Teufelsberg". It was originally founded as a "hermitage" to supply pilgrims arriving to the nearby and eponymous St. Annakapelle, a well-known place of pilgrimage. At 355 meters above sea level, it is the highest vineyard in the Palatinate. The restaurant “St. Annagut ”is connected. The business was started in 1998 by the family Lergenmüller (Municipality of Hainfeld). After studying wine management in Geisenheim and oenological Internships in France and South Africa, it is managed by Victoria Lergenmüller. She is currently studying in Bordeaux with the planned completion of a master’s MBA in wine and spirits.

The vineyards cover 7.5 hectares of vineyards in individual locations Schäwer and privately owned St. Annaberg (Burrweiler), hell (Gleisweiler) and Kalmit (Ilbesheim). They are mainly planted with Riesling, as well as Silvaner, Scheurebe, Gewürztraminer and Muskateller, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir and St. Laurent. The vineyards are currently being converted to Organic (ecological) viticulture, The hand-picked grapes are fermented and expanded spontaneously in the cellar on St. Annaberg. They lie on the long to exploit the full potential. The focus of the wines is clearly on the expansion of the Rieslings. The product range includes various single-layer wines such as B. Terrace location (Burrweiler St. Annaberg) and Ilbesheimer Kalmit, and Edition Johanniskreuz (Riesling cuvée from all locations).
