The estate is located in the commune of Fels am Wagram in the Lower Austrian wine region Wagram, The traditional family has been wine-growing since 1794. The company is today run by Franz Sauerstingl jun. who has been responsible for the cellar since the 2002 vintage. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards, including in the two Rieden Brunnthal and slices on mineral, sandy-loamy soils that have deep rooting of the vines enable. Around 90% of them are with the white wine varieties Green Valtellina. Riesling, Pinot Blanc ( Pinot Blanc ) and Red Veltliner, as well as the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Pinot Noir ( Pinot Noir ) and Cabernet Sauvignon planted.

Depending on the type of wine, the wines are stored in steel tanks large wooden barrel or in expanded. The prevailing loess soils are particularly suitable for the Grüner Veltliner, the house specialty.
