2015 Nierstein Silvaner trocken ***, Ortswein, Rheinhessen, Germany

Firm nose, tart vegetal notes, hint of tobacco, light yeasty notes, fairly prominent earthy and mineral notes, restrained yellow fruit. Polished, cool, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, prominent spicy vegetal notes, yeasty notes and light mineral notes, lively, elegant acidity, persistent, firm grip, some depth, still young, but already very approachable, has character, delicate hint of tobacco on a very good tart, juicy finish.
