The estate is located in the commune of Randersacker (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region Franconia
, The family has been cultivating wine in the triangle of the Main for 700 years. The Randersackerer branch moved to this community in the mid-16th century. Since 2015, the 12th generation has been run by Markus Schmachtenberger. The vineyards cover almost nine hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Marsberg
(Randersacker). They are planted with the white varieties Silvaner, Riesling, Rivaner, Scheurebe, Sauvignon blanc, Bacchus, Kerner, Pinot Blanc, Traminer and Rieslaner, as well as with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Dominatrix and Portuguese.
