2014 Randersacker Sonnenstuhl Spätburgunder Grosses Gewächs trocken, Franconia/Franken, Germany

Firm, somewhat smoky and dried-vegetable aroma, slightly reminiscent of beetroot, of cherries and mixed berries with herbal aromas, cloves and earthy to mineral tones. Firm in the mouth, tangy fruit with earthy, peppery and dried vegetal to herbal aromas, lively acidity and fine sandy, still drying tannins, persistent and relatively powerful on the palate, still young, certain depth, earthy minerality in the background, rustic in a positive sense, very good, tangy, slightly vegetal, mineral, still slightly drying finish
