The estate is located in the town of Billigheim (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, It was founded in 1906 by Ernst and Minna Nuss. The company now consists of two lines of business, namely viticulture and an attached restaurant. It is managed by Brigitte Schneiderfritz, Martin Schneiderfritz is the cellar master and Michael Schneiderfritz is responsible for marketing and the restaurant. Due to the takeover of the neighboring company in 2013, the vineyards now cover 13.4 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers Rosenberg, Sauschwänzel and Venusbuckel (Billigheim), Steingebiss (Appenhofen), Pfaffenberg (Ingenheim), Mandelpfad (Rohrbach) and Mütterle (Wollmesheim). They are planted with the red varieties Pinot Noir, Pinot Noir, Dornfelder, Dunkelfelder and Portugieser, as well as the white varieties Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Muscat, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer.

The philosophy is: best quality and typicality, always looking for improvements - detached from short-lived trends . The quality pyramid consists of three lines. The "Gray Line" forms the basis, the "Red Line" includes wines from traditional grape varieties with some locations and the "Black Line" with the top crops from some very old vines in the best locations with a maximum yield of 5,000 l / ha. For the white wines largely takes place reductive expansion in steel tank, with spontaneous fermentation and Barrique use is experimented. The red wines are generally macerated. The Pinot Noir is aged in large wooden barrels and sometimes in barriques for up to 24 months. The premium wines are the spontaneously fermented Riesling "Venusbuckel" with a long yeast storage (4,500 l / ha) and the Francophile Pinot Noir "Venusbuckel" made from 40-year-old, densely-grained vines, which after nine days of maceration in oak barrels are largely matured from Palatinate oak (4,000 l / ha ). It is also bottle-fermented and produces grape juice. The winery is a member of the Generation Riesling association.
