2017 Geisenheim Mönchspfad Spätburgunder trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Slightly smoky, woody and dried mushroom scent of more red than black berries with tobacco notes. Tart, juicy fruit with nutty, smoky and slightly woody aromas, a little dried vegetable to herbaceous on the palate, salt in the background, good persistence, has power but also cooling elements, relatively fine, still youthful and a trace of drying tannin, good to very good, quite firm, tart finish
