2016 Spätburgunder trocken A, Ahr, Germany

Fairly firm nose, light smoky notes, hint of tobacco and bacon, predominantly red and a few black berries, some cherries, vegetal and herbaceous aromas, hint of mushrooms, mineral notes. Ripe, fairly juicy and creamy, slightly warm fruit on the palate, nutty, smoky oak, hint of tobaccosome sooty notes, slightly jammy, earthy and salty mineral notes in the background, full-bodied, noticeable warm alcohol, sweetish and creamy, slightly jammy and warm again on a good to very godo finish.
