1999 Dornfelder trocken Hades, Württemberg, Germany

Dry and spicy aroma of cherries and black berries with notes of smoked bacon. Quite juicy fruit with prominent but quite delicate tannin, again aromas of smoked bacon, but also a lot of clear, juicy and prominent fruit, almost elegant style, good length, fruity and smoky finish. Even if the wood is a matter of taste, this remains one of the best Dornfelder.
