The estate is located in the commune of Rhodt unter Rietburg (southern wine route area) in the German wine-growing region palatinate, The traditional family has been doing winegrowing here since 1702. The foundation stone for today's operation was laid in 1954 by Karl Hermann Meyer. After his training as a winegrower and practical experience in Austria and California he has been led by Stefan Meyer since 2010.

The vineyards cover 16 hectares of vineyards in the individual layers of monastery path, rose garden and Schlossberg (Rhodt), and Schwarzer Letten (Edenkoben).
