2017 Weißburgunder Landwein, Baden, Germany

Rather deep, nutty, light-woody and clearly yeasty aroma of partly crumbly pome fruit with dried plant to herbal and mineral notes. Clear, firm and tart, yet juicy fruit, again clearly yeasty, nutty and slightly planty aromas, very fine, lively acidity, moderate, ripe tannin, persistent, quite mineral, floral and planty nuances, a hint of dark berries, gains substance, depth and complexity with air, very good, firm finish with clear, tart juice, lots of minerality, herbs and nutty-woody aromas. Needs air or better still a little time
