2012 Süd-Steiermark Ried Zieregg Sauvignon Blanc trocken IZ, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Intense, deep, concentrated, complex, touching nose with nutty, herbaceous and vegetal notes, light oak, hint of tobacco, yellow spice and peppery aromas, iodine, curcuma, elderflowers and some mustard seed, prominent mineral notes. Bone dry and very firm on the palate, extremely concentrated fruit, lots of yellow spice, tobacco, yeasty and nutty notes, very elegant acidity, tremendous substance, reined-in power, integrated tannins provide firm grip, touch of smoky oak, prominent bacon notes, prominent earthy and salty mineral notes, complex and deep, chewy, tart and juicy, peppery spice on a long finish.
