2012 Süd-Steiermark Ried Zieregg Sauvignon Blanc trocken Vinothek Reserve, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Very firm nose, slightly yeasty and undeveloped, elegant tart vegetal aromas, restrained green and yellow fruit, hint of green tobacco, algae, prominent mineral notes. Firm, youthful, slightly off-dry fruit on the palate, tart vegetal and yeasty notes, lively, elegant acidity, light tannic grip, still fairly restless, persistent, firm and spicy, prominent mineral notes, hint of sugar candy, still slightly reductive, tremendously prominent salty mineral notes, complex, and deep on a fairly long finish. Currently not yet approachable, definitely needs time to mature.
