2013 Süd-Steiermark Ried Zieregg Morillon trocken G STK, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Quite firm, deep and multi-layered, somewhat yeasty, herbaceous and clearly mineral, also strikingly peppery aroma with fine yellow-fruity flavours and floral nuances as well as very delicate, nutty wood tones. Firm on the palate too, dry, finely juicy fruit with nutty, slightly yeasty and a little smoky-woody notes, fine, present acidity and delicate tannins, persistent on the palate, has grip, intense minerality, still underdeveloped but already showing touching subtleties, fine bite, deep and complex, long finish. A masterpiece.
