2013 Süd-Steiermark Ried Zieregg Sauvignon Blanc trocken G STK, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm and very deep, yet somewhat restless and slightly reductive, clearly vegetal, herbaceous and hinted herbaceous fragrance with yellow and green fruit notes, some avocado, pepper, dried floral and black berry traces as well as clear mineral notes. Very tart, cool, very closed fruit on the palate, light nutty and yeasty notes, clearly the best olive oil on the palate, firm acidity and still slightly drying tannins, persistent, mineral, slightly floral, woody notes, excellent depth, very good to long finish , again with a lot of olive oil. A force of nature and yet extremely fine; must continue to mature.
