2005 trocken Leithaberg, Burgenland, Austria

Rather brash nose with yellow fruit, vegetal notes and a whiff of oak. Fairly prominent vegetal notes on the palate too, slightly tart melon and pumpkin fruit, citrus notes, prominent oak gives the wine an interesting twist, has some substance and persistence, integrated acidity provides backbone, attractive to good finish. Still needs time to mature.
