2006 Merlot trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Still quite youthful, rather brash blackcurrant nose, herbs and spices, vegetal and delicate stalky notes. Already fairly tranquil on the palate, very polished, almost soft and slightly diffuse berry fruit, also has very smooth, fine tannins, appealing, very modern type, very light hint of spicy oak, and some mineral notes, not particularly deep, but quite charming in its own way, attractive finish.
